The Loughborough Storm website www.loughboroughstorm.co.uk is now live - check it out. InsideOut have recently added Keyworth tennis club to their growing list of coached clubs. Patrick Smith has joined the team in place of Niall and will help in pushing the competition culture at the club with team trials, leaderboards etc..
The senior club teams in 2011 have had success. Of the 14 teams entered 4 were divisional champions (Ladies Aegon, Mens Aegon, Mixed and Ladies Winter)
At the recent club competition awards the Dan Maskell trophy was won by the ladies Aegon Side, the ladies singles by Victoria Bullock (top picture), the doubles by Victoria Bullock and Julie Westgate and the mixed doubles by Bob Gradon and Julie Westgate. Martyn won the mens singles and will receive the cup at the AGM.
In the mini section, awards went to Cain Earp, Maddy Wood, Mia Smith and Sebastian Harrison and in the junior section to Sam Abell, Madeleine Glass and Rebecca Donald the latter being county no 1 in the 14&U age group.
Congratulations to Martyn who was given a special award by Andrew Castle at the Tennis Leicestershire Annual awards evening for all his work with disabled players. Both Jonny and Tony were short listed in the Coach and Volunteer sections respectively.
We have implemented an dome online booking system and thanks go to Carol-Ann for her drive to increase the utilisation of this amenity. We are considering an outside court booking system
