Loughborough Lawn Tennis Club

Junior tennis at Loughborough LTC is thriving with most of the membership taking part in coaching within the last year. The coaches run a wide range of courses that cover all ages and abilities. Groups are arranged in three term time sessions (around 10 to 12 lessons) throughout the year with additional holiday camps.
Saturday morning is junior morning with supervised play and games during term time between 10am and noon. There is also a junior night on Monday evenings during April to October. If parents have a parental membership (children must be under 14) they are welcome to come and play with them at any time providing courts are available. There is a practice wall available on court no 7.
Juniors of good standard are invited to play with the seniors and also have the opportunity to play in the senior teams.
The coaches encourage children to take part in competitive individual match play in the county or club team events. The club has teams in most age groups from Mini red (6 years) to Under 18s.
Socials in the past have included bowling, ice skating, tobogganing and Xmas parties, so there is the opportunity to meet new friends but what better if your best friend joins as well.
The club is set in very pleasant enclosed surroundings and we are dedicated to providing a safe environment for children to enjoy tennis. We are CLUBMARK accredited, have a child protection officer and of course all our coaches are licensed. Occasionally video analysis will be used in coaching sessions but the coaches abide by LTA guidelines. Juniors who have regular coaching must join the club and by doing so parents or guardians acknowledge parental responsibility for children in relation to the club’s health and safety policy.
